IPVanish is pleased to announce that it has released a major update of its Windows software. Those who have already installed the software will be asked to update and are encouraged to accept. New users can find the software on our software download page: http://www.ipvanish.com/software/
Version 1.2.2.8 Windows IPVanish VPN software includes many new "behind the scenes "updates enhance stability and connectivity for users. However, the biggest change for most will be the new wizard menu item Configuration and Preferences
Included in the new version are :.
- The ability to start when Windows starts IPVanish
- the ability to auto-connect to IPVanish IPVanish when the software starts, using one of three choices:
- log on to the last server that was used successfully
- connect to the closest server, as determined by the response time
- log Involved to a specific server, selected by the user from our list of more than 39+ servers (and growing)
- users will also be able to choose among 3 supported protocols (OpenVPN, L2TP or PPTP) when the auto-connection
during installation, all users will be guided through the new features, allowing them to customize the way they want IPVanish Windows software to work for them.
After this setup time, users can access these new features in the "Preferences" menu item in the top of the software.
IPVanish existing features and software still exist such as checking your IP address and the location in the menu, auto-reconnect if for some reason you lose your internet, and the ability to sort by the server response speed, the server name or location of the city.
