Enabling Next-Generation Virtual delivery infrastructures for modern Data Center - Part -

Hello everyone,

It is time for the final part of our four-part series of next-generation virtual delivery infrastructures for the modern data center to activate

. Note: If you have not had a chance to read the first three parts of this article, you can can find some here, part two here and part three here.

For this last entry we will discuss how we can use the hypothetical solution, we would be introduced in part three this series.

provide During the time frame for the traditional virtual desktop and application delivery solutions are often measured in days, weeks or even months, what would happen if we could provide a Hyper converged virtual desktop and application delivery infrastructure as the ones we described three of this series in a matter of hours in part? Yes, you read that right ... hours!

Well, if there was a way we could need, the tasks to build the infrastructure to create shared storage and build to a XenDesktop / XenApp farm, and then schedule these tasks to a specific date or at the click to run directly on a button, we would basically have us a "cookbook" of sorts that would put the deployment process on autopilot substantially.

at this point, or rather, well before we reached this point, you are probably thinking, "Man, this guy really out there!" While that may be true, the reality is already Citrix the ability to create "cookbooks" and automate the speed has installations - it is called Scale Xtreme - so I'm really not as far out as you might think. :)

Can you imagine a whole XenDesktop / XenApp farm, infrastructure and all, and running in a matter of hours? During this nirvana for Citrix administrators would, it would be an absolute boon for cloud providers, the customers knocking down their doors for their services have, since it would allow them to revenue faster than ever before!

While all beginning to realize this amazing sounds, we need to keep in mind that Citrix has been and always will be a company that believes therefore decisions in its customers - making will include all aspects of their IT solutions. We do not want to force our partners or our customers in the sale or purchase of "one-size-fits-all solution." Why? Because Citrix, we know there is no such thing. Every customer is unique and uniqueness requires that we have the time to see all the possible options in an effort to think about what we feel is the best solution to meet the specific requirements of each customer.

For example, to determine may want some customers new virtual desktop application and mobility solutions provide fast and efficient pre-validated systems that include compute, network and storage resources. A good example of this would be, solutions built on the new Citrix WorkspacePod , a comprehensive software stack (Sanbolic SDx Platform), the memory management functions (ie, dynamic volume expansion, data tiering, QoS Enterprise Class contains, snapshots, mirroring) and extended data services (ie database clustering, scale-out file services, geo-distributed disaster recovery) is running on industry-standard hardware components. Such systems could be used to realize a much quicker time-to-value in new or existing infrastructure with minimal effort.

Customers who already invest in server, network and storage hardware can have further Citrix look to improve on their existing infrastructure by consolidating the existing resources, streamline storage and data management tasks, Workload improve -Performance and scale-out and enables geo-distributed clustering for desktop and application high availability and disaster recovery, all of which would allow them to greatly simplify and enhance their desktop and application delivery solutions, while continuing optimum use of investments in their existing hardware.

If you think about it, the Citrix "FlexCast" model that we all know so well, could easily the various infrastructure options we apply to the customer to provide. As an extension of the existing infrastructure or deploying converged, hyper-convergent or even extremely converged infrastructure are all options that would be available to customers. The decision as to choose which particular infrastructure customer deployment model would based on their specific needs and the model that they believe would best help achieve their objectives, similar to the way customers choose the procedure for today desktops and applications to deliver.

What exactly are we talking about?

Well, we are talking about a fundamental change in the way virtual desktop, application and mobility solutions (or any IT workload) are designed and used: providing IaaS capabilities for enterprise environments, the provides high availability, reliability, workload-based performance and scalability at significantly reduce infrastructure cost and complexity, implementation time and finally the time-to-value. And may seem while ours futuristic to some, allows the acquisition of Sanbolic Citrix Sanbolic to integrate the innovative and powerful storage technologies directly into its industry-leading virtual desktop, application and mobility solutions to bring commoditization the benefits of software-defined memory and our customers much sooner than you might think.

to get your hats hold on, things to be very exciting with Citrix here!
