How to adjust the cloud portal brand a Citrix Service Provider adapt corporate identity

Citrix service provider using Cloud portal Services Manager, a comprehensive control panel to manage the deployment of cloud-based desktops to increase the scope and operating efficiency while reducing administrative costs.

Citrix knows their business and service mark to use when providing solutions service provider to end users for critical it is. The portal is a key access point for customer administrators and even users themselves, as more and more service providers user self-service.

Selma Wei already wrote the great blog [1945009Wie] Setup CloudPortal Services Manager Branding & White Labeling , where the basics of the various types of marks CloudPortal Services Manager describes. In this article I will expand on this a bit by giving you some examples and details about the different parts that need to be added or modified in the corresponding files Sheet. In the first part I would like to draw an example to create a custom system brand for the service provider, so that the appearance of the cloud portal is the same for each customer to the needs of the service provider. The second part is to sketch an example for creating various brands per customer and to provide a white label portal through URL branding. I will publish this in the near future

. Note: There is no guarantee that the customization work always release upgrade out of the box, especially when the user interface changes significantly.

CSS customization

In most cases, we can work with a custom CSS style sheet to achieve the goal, so most of the examples are based on this. In some special cases it is necessary to edit the original .aspx files when you need to add classes, etc., which are not part of the original file. Selma already showed an overview of the relevant classes Sheet in her Blog . If you need to change parts, the part of the classes are not in the blog named, you can use the Firefox plugin "Firebug" or the developer tools in Internet Explorer to find the required classes. You can also use the "Orange" Example checkout that on the Cloud Portal Services Manager Web server C: inetpub Cortex Management CortexDotNet stylesheets Orange.css

Creating an empty sheet and add the changes Later

1. Log on as a service provider to the Admin portal

2. Navigate to "configuration - content management - URL branding"

3. Navigate to "brands" and create a "new brand"

4. Leave the default "brand Type" as "system brand" and enter a "fire code" and a "brand name"

5. Scroll down and click "Save". This is an empty CSS stylesheet under C: inetpub Cortex Management CortexDotNet stylesheet in the file system of the Cloud Portal server. The blank sheet is the "fire code" called you did not give the "brand name". So in my example, the name of the CSS stylesheet is ctx.css.

6. Now click on "URL branding". This shows that the current brand for the URL "cortexweb" is "default"

7. Click "Edit" and the brand name you gave to the appropriate name change when the blank sheet to create. In my example is the brand name "citrix". Click on "Update".

Now we are ready to adjust our Sheet. To that I would add your own logos and background suggest, create a new folder in the directory to store all the necessary images and logos: C: inetpub Cortex Management CortexDotNet images on the CPSM web server. I have a subfolder named "Citrix", adding logos and backgrounds I wanted to use.

I have any changes for this example in my stylesheet file. I described the detailed information for the complete examples and what needs to be added to the style sheet to obtain the expected result in the following Citrix Knowledge Base article: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX0432

in the following two screenshots you can branding example I for the login page and the pages that did after loggin in see

after we made the branding for the system have, this only shows when you're at the default URL http go: // cortexweb. In most cases, this is only the internal URL of the portal. As Citrix Service Provider, you should your customers to have access to CloudPortal Services Manager from the outside for the management and user self-service. So this means we have the branding, we also need to have for our external URL. Suppose that the external URL will be http://cpsm.citrixrockz.com. To access these with the same branding, we need the URL to our URL branding configuration directory.

to provide the full details of as a branding, as may be appropriate to my Citrix article http://support.citrix.com/article / CTX0432

now found out that we have created a common CloudPortal Services Manager site for all our clients, watch the Citrix blogs for my next blog on how to create different branding per customer and how to manage white-labeling. Feel free to post your comments and questions below.
