You have a message ... ..and it is delivered via CloudGateway 2 -

We all cursing and whining about the ever-increasing flow of emails in our inboxes (for me 2 times a year I clear my inbox, I throw a party!), but email is still the main form of communication in both personal and professional arenas. Specifically, the ability to access email via a mobile device significantly increases employee productivity, but often keeps the InfoSec guy the night as well :-)

As some of you Naturally, in the context of our CloudGateway 2 launch, we announced the imminent availability of a mobile messaging application built on Citrix MDX technologies. Our goal here is to provide a compelling UX coupled with a mobile security model that meets the needs of core businesses. As we strive to provide as close experience of it available through Outlook on a PC or Mac, we will also allow for useful interactions between key productivity applications, such as messaging, browser (MDX Web Connect) and docs Sharefile to further enhance the value of a user derives from the email application.

Email is an ideal candidate applying for containerization features offered via MDX App Vault, given the volume of local content that gets usually stored on the access device offline. With encryption, remote lock / wipe and prevention of mobile data outside the context of MDX (ie, data remains in applications that manages CloudGateway), he has the peace of mind, while users enjoy convenience of the mobile electronic mail. Additionally, the MDX Micro VPN functionality available for browsing the web in CloudGateway 2, when extended to a native mobile application like messaging, presents interesting security benefits. It eliminates the need to expose your Exchange infrastructure via a dedicated DMZ proxy, and instead allows you to leverage a common security infrastructure as AccessGateway. The part of the implementation of the policy MDX rounds the security story with fine grained controls that can be applied contextually.

I can not wait to put this application in the hands of users and solicit feedback! In the coming weeks, we will keep you informed on the specific release plans of this application.

post Merry!
