It goes over 9 months since the acquisition AppDNA and this will be our second version as Citrix product group AppDNA. Our version 6.0 (February 2012) was already locked before the acquisition and was major update feature. The recent 6.1 release is our first "real" Citrix Press and bears the deep mark and a variety of other improvements.
Briefing do not tend to attract as much attention as major releases so that you might expect from this release? Well, if I had to give it a theme, it would probably be something like "we've got your back." Having joined Citrix we have the opportunity to reach a much larger than us and in doing so, we never could before to ensure a great experience intuitive installation import and reporting.
We have made significant improvements in:
- Installation - 12 screens down to 4
- configuration
- wizard facility - built in validation and configuration much simpler experience
- assistant capture facility - Its now easier than ever to install an integration of the virtual machine to treat non-mSI applications
- Lakeside integration - new user interface activities with filtering to streamline the audit / rationalization
- Help - install and guides the user context sensitive and revised
- Web spider - more robust and configurable
A key aspect of this version has been our integration with the Citrix License server. Some benefits are:
