I am here in San Francisco this week to attend any Summit and Synergy. So I decided to keep a diary of my time here, so I can share my experiences of the sessions I attended and people I meet.
Day 2 Summit team has had clients from interviews at 8am and continued all the way up to 17 hours. The team received some very interesting comments during the interviews that will help us build a better product.
A couple of team members are also present a session "The Ultimate XenDesktop 5.x workshop troubleshooting". This session is popular and repeated 4 times. Each advanced sessions.
Mike Stringer, CEO of the TAA team also had a Citrix TV interview where he was asked about the direction of the tool was taking. The stand also open tonight so the TAA were stand a flood of customers visiting and hearing all about the service.
So I try to attend as many meetings as possible, so what did I learn today?
- Nobody knows about scout! Citrix Scout captures key data points and traces CDF for selected computers followed by secure and reliable download all data to Citrix Technical Support. You can also use data to download to TAA Scout for self-analysis online. You can find the tool here.
- desktop transformation affects the whole organization! Kevin Wilson, an architect of Duke Energy touched on this. He spoke about the importance of breaking the integration process by the process. Very interesting. If your Synergy it might be interesting to see if the session repeated or check the registration on SynergyTV
- TAA for XenDesktop -. Now available in beta. The TAA team are giving demos of the solution in the Expo hall. Check out.
- PowerShell is cool for XenDesktop management / monitoring. I took the second half of the session delivered by Citrix engineers three where they demoed how to build PowerShell scripts to help manage, monitor and configure your XenDesktop environment. Very powerful and can be worth the time to learn how to write PowerShell.
- XenDesktop & AppDNA, good combination. Samit Patel spoke about the desktop transformation and how to identify install / implementation problems in migrating applications using AppDNA
See my daily newspaper below.
