Citrix and Microsoft: Better Together in the Azure Cloud
Citrix spend much time talking to their customers not only business issues in progress, but also where they want to go in the future with their iT strategies. We find that many of our Citrix and Microsoft joint enterprise customers are assessing the needs of their users and applications, and ask how they can leverage cloud computing technologies to improve. We're pretty excited about Citrix solutions has to offer to our customers for Microsoft Azure Cloud!
While many of these client applications continue to function within their enterprise data centers, there are others whose dynamic design requirements make them good candidates for the Azure cloud. The challenge here is to leverage the computing elasticity and economics of cloud computing without sacrificing the security of their information assets - databases, directories, repositories - deserve to be on site in the own centers of company data. To meet these needs, Citrix believes that a hybrid strategy must be implemented that meets several challenges:

- proliferating IT silos - While the data center on site and the Azure cloud infrastructure represent distinct environments, care must be taken not to create duplicate tools, processes or teams.
to meet these challenges, business organizations need to address their transparent data center to the cloud. Citrix CloudBridge did just that by providing a "back door" of the enterprise data center, providing access to the infinite capacity of the Azure cloud. By grouping addressability and management, CloudBridge made on site and the Azure cloud networks into a fabric Service Delivery Network (SDN) hosted Azure cloud applications appear to administrators, tools and even the applications themselves as if they are running on the network company. And thereby solves the problems identified above
The applications are just one element of this infrastructure. Organizations also need to make decisions on how corporate data is stored, and shared. Citrix ShareFile is a solution for monitoring me of data designed for businesses. It allows users to share, synchronize and secure files on any device, anywhere and help meet the concerns with the increased use of unsecured file sharing services that put at risk of corporate data.
The StorageZones function ShareFile allows IT to store data in Citrix secure cloud options or managed on-site or a mixture of both. To provide more cloud based storage options for customers, we expect to deliver StorageZones Citrix managed on Microsoft Azure in 1H 2013. This partnership will allow our customers to leverage reliable and powerful capabilities of the platform a Microsoft Azure cloud. Customers will be able to designate data through a global network of Microsoft Azure datacenters managed by Citrix over the seven sites currently offer.
ShareFile helps organizations start their journey of mobility by providing a solution that is good for both users and IT. Users can share large files from any device, with people both inside and outside the organization. Integration with workflow tools, virtual desktops, and existing network shares allows users to access all of their data. Just because its feature rich and offers a true suite data capabilities me does not mean that ShareFile is difficult to provide and manage. The brilliant service is easy for IT to manage, while ensuring security and IT controls expected.
