With Citrix Web Interface to reach the end of life in 2015, it is important that administrators be familiar with CloudGateway Express to facilitate a successful transition between products. To help build a Citrix environment Consulting has implemented a proof-through of Concept (PoC) guide. Receiver Storefront, which is one of the components that make up CloudGateway Express, performs authentication and application and listing the workstations. Receiver Storefront provides users access a common experience across devices allowing users to subscribe to their application resources and favorite office. These preferred resources and automatically follow the user between devices.
The Citrix Consulting created guide contains instructions and best practices for the deployment of a multi-instance Receiver StoreFront server. Although simple PoC environments can be created using a single server, Citrix Consulting wanted to showcase the new multi-server configuration for HA functionality and web server synchronization. Also included in the document are step by step instructions for configuring integration with Access Gateway and NetScaler. From the tests, Citrix Consulting recommends the proof of concept to focus on key XenApp users because they will see the greatest benefits of the features Cloud Gateway Express has to offer.
