From a very early age, were most of us said, "big dreams", but what after happened dream? What happens when you wake up?
was asked this question to a group of Citrix employees in Raleigh Jess Ekström. Jess Ekström is only 23 years old and founder / CEO of Headbands of Hope. Headbands of Hope provides Headbands / headbuffs, which can be purchased for children or adults. sold for each headband / buff, you will be given to a child with a cancer and to fund $ 1 donated life-saving children's cancer research.
Ekström their company founded when she was 19 years old, and their headbands have worn by many celebrities and have been featured on the Today Show. When driven entrepreneur, she was of the WIN Raleigh Organisation (Mrs Information Networking), sponsored by the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal), the invited talk of Share File founder, Jesse Lipson. We were curious to hear what the Council Ekström could share regarding their entrepreneurial experience.
Ekström an inspiring keynote highlighting entrepreneurship and innovation. Here are my top 10 takeaways (although it is hard to limit to 10)!
- Be open to a sparks. A spark the flame that ignites in you when an idea is born.
- entrepreneur is not a title, it is a mentality.
- underestimate it not have the power to be a follower. It takes a brave followers to support an idea and from the ground.
- Show yourself! Opportunities can not happen if you are not there.
- success can not be measured. The success is tangible.
- Find your perspective anchor and hold it firmly. A perspective anchor is your reason for existence. They are your perspective anchor visit especially if things do not go way.
- Failure effort shows. If everything is comfortable and consistent, a challenge you are not yourself.
- Pay attention to your energy box . You only have so much energy in every day, and you have control over how much energy is directed to positive or negative thinking.
- Participate in itself this week. Each person is unique and we all have something that we can learn with the world and to share.
- dream big, but think about what you do after the dream. You are a 30 seconds window have , when the idea was born, where you can continue your life or take action.
After Jess' keynote, I felt inspired to continue trying to find solutions, through action and positive thinking.
My question, to dream big, what will you do when you wake up?
