A recent Citrix healthcare mobility survey found 80% of managers agree that it is very important for their employees on call to have access to information, data and applications from multiple devices with the desired experience. An interesting dichotomy healthcare IT teams face today - to provide a balance between real-time data and keep it secure. Mobility is increasingly becoming an integral part of the health industry, and to expect people in health care, to move and patient information and mHealth seamless applications access from bed to bed, department to department, device to device, in the home office - and provide care services, whether it is to their personal or professional appliances displayed. But this is not an easy task for the IT, because when sensitive information is mobile, it is exponentially more vulnerable to theft and loss. As an action plan for a secure clinical mobility well-developed, the gap between security, mobility and clinician may reduce productivity.
