Desktop virtualization at Synergy 2012 - Barcelona -

Desktop Virtualization is one of the hottest topics in the IT industry with Citrix being the leader of thought in the Desktop Virtualization space. My name is Carisa Stringer and I'm a Sr. Product Marketing Manager here on Citrix Desktop team and applications. I would like to take a moment to tell you about all the exciting presentations desktop virtualization, demonstrations, and hands-on learning, we have been preparing for Citrix Synergy in Barcelona. Whether you are new to the desktop and application virtualization or a veteran, Citrix Synergy is an excellent forum to talk with industry experts, see live demonstrations of some of our latest product features, and hear more about the Citrix vision for virtualization.

There's so much great content, I highly recommend attending many sessions as you can, but here are some of my recommended "can not miss" sessions:

• at our last event Synergy, Citrix announced project Avalon, a new and exciting project focused on delivering desktops and applications as a cloud service. Hear product managers Joe Vaccaro and Kevin Strohmeyer on the preparation and understanding of Avalon project means to you. • In May, Citrix has acquired Virtual Computer and began integrating their proven management technology industry in our range of products XenClient. Listen Dan McCall, vice president of product management and marketing, the new XenClient management system and best practices desktop virtualization. • With the release of XenDesktop 5.6 FP1, Citrix has changed the way of thinking and deliver desktop virtualization with the release of our technology Personal vDisk. Product experts David Wagner and Michael Larkin will provide a deep look dive in our new personal vDisk technology and how it can be combined with Citrix Profile Manager to make desktop virtualization to the most demanding users.
