FAI follow what you do online
online privacy is clearly in a period of turbulence. Facebook is constantly scrutinized for their privacy policies changing almost daily as you read on another company pursued or another law like SOPA debate. This morning, I remembered an article several years ago about how ISPs sell your business online alias clickstream (Clickstream is a buzzword, we hear much) about anyone willing to pay for it. Here's how companies like Alexa and Compete get their information. This article broke the news to the world that your online access, for which you pay monthly ISP is now connected and this newspaper is a product to be bought and sold without your consent or participation. These are not really new at all, then why are not you doing something about it?
One way to prevent ISPs to profit off of your business is to use a VPN service, as IPVanish. Using a VPN secures your online privacy by placing another server between your Internet connection and your ISP. By adding this additional step, the ISP sees just that you are connected to a server, not what you do on this server.
