The Queen of England is apparently technical savvy enough to feel like it is appropriate for her to make the announcement that the UK significantly increase online surveillance. Part of the bill includes a provision for all Internet service providers to store logs for 12 months of all traffic and user communication.
If this seems like an invasion of privacy for you, you might consider using a VPN. A VPN works like this: you connect to one of the VPN servers, and the ISP sees, but that is all they see. They can not see (or connect) your business beyond the connection to the VPN server.
