The ALCU reports that Twitter has filed a motion to crush a court order to return the personal information of the user in regarding a criminal case, specifically an Occupy Wall Street protester. When the court ruled that the individual does not have the "legal status" to cancel the request to its own information, Twitter intensified and filed a motion themselves. ACLU said "This is a big deal" and Twitter should be applauded for defending the constitutional rights of its users in the US. If internet users are not able to defend in court, it is the Internet companies to stand up for their users.
