We Blazing the trail on our way to Spain with a new updated version of XenClient Enterprise 4.1.2.
There are some great improvements and updates we have added as we continue developing the next version, which will be revealed at Synergy Barcelona.
VM network isolation with support for VLAN Policy
This technical preview offers the ability to isolate virtual machines from each other by segmenting the networks different virtual machines connect to, using VLANs (virtual LANs).
an example of a key use case is that which involves the use of two or more virtual machines on a physical system and requiring the isolation / segmenting the network to which a virtual machine must be connected to specific purposes, such as PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security standards) compliance requirements.
a unique VLAN tag can be used for external network of a VM. The result is an active network that the virtual machine is connected to the network when in bridged mode. VLAN policies can be applied to XenClient powered desktops / laptops to the Synchronizer, which is the management server backend.
Support for VLAN policy is a feature of segmentation improved network over the default functionality for secure communication that is already provided by the SSL encrypted communication engine XenClient. Look for another post soon with more details on the VLAN feature in XenClient.
Enhanced Active Directory Support
The XenClient Enterprise support improved for AD now includes support for non-alphanumeric characters in the organizational unit (OU) names . OR names with special characters such as "/" are now supported.
support improvements also include truncation of the AD hierarchy to hide the full domain names (DNS list) OR when a filter is applied.
Rollup reserve space for VM backup and Versioning
function of the Rollup reserve space provides enough disk storage space is available for backup and version VM rollups on the Synchronizer.
Experience simplified evaluation software
The software evaluation process has been simplified without required license key for up to 10 users. Evaluators will be able to quickly set up an evaluation environment without initial interruptions to achieve a successful trial.
In addition to the above list, XenClient Enterprise 4.1.2 also includes a variety of performance and usability improvements.

Before upgrading, make sure the XenClient Enterprise Synchronizer Engine and are both on the same latest version 4.1. After the upgrade to the same version, republish all VMs.
