Since we published the first version of Citrix Mobile Application SDK, we looked at different ways we can better engage developers and give them access to our latest book. While we were busy working on the next version of the SDK, we also made a series of updates of our examples of existing applications. So we decided to try using CodePlex as a mechanism to provide access to these samples. CodePlex is a site for hosting Open Source Software. It allows us to upload the source code and pre-built packages for developers to download and use. You can find our CodePlex project to the following address:

Our CodePlex project currently has an updated version of our administration console XenApp mobilized. The original version was designed for use on a smart phone model only. The new version adds support for tablets and set. When executed from a tablet, it uses a split, providing two columns, with sessions or servers listed in the left column and a detail view of the right column.
The console uses the SDK mobile application to detect Layout the user's device and update its configuration on the fly to match. So you can start the application from a tablet, disconnect and reconnect your Citrix session later from your smart phone. The application detects this change and sharing the double layout of the tablet of the column to a single layout phone column. So if you are interested in offering this kind of multi-layout support to your own mobile application is an excellent example of how to do it. In particular this sample is a useful companion for the next video I made about creating multi-layout applications:

If you watched the original sample included with the SDK, you'll also notice a few other changes :.
- you can now view the details of the servers in your farm, not just the sessions
- by hitting a session will now show the detailed status of the session, previously only a summary has been shown.
- to enable the selection of multiple sessions to reset them, you must now press the Edit button at the bottom of the page. You can then type on the sessions to switch their selection status
So we hope you will find this updated sample useful when it comes to creating your own mobile applications -.! Enjoy
