The Citrix September 2014 Mobile Analytics report released today provides an insight into subscriber behavior and thus related factors that determine quality of experience (QoE) for mobile data services. Key mobile video insights from the report include:
- Eighty-seven percent (87%) of the mobile social networking traffic from the exchange of images and videos is
- There was a 20% cent increase in video ads since the 4th quarter of 2013
- mobile subscribers are 1.5x more likely video LTE networks to watch as 3G networks and the 5x generates more video data volume on LTE as 3G
- Relative demand for Netflix doubled to LTE networks. In 3G networks, there are a Netflix video for all 7 YouTube videos. In an LTE network, there are a Netflix video for all 4 YouTube videos.
- New technology (LTE) is not stalling does not eliminate, such as Europe and North America still result in coverage LTE but mobile video stalling
