Citrix is fast out of the gate in 2015 with a new release of Citrix Cloud Platform -. Version 4.5
Used by the world to organizations of all types and of service providers offering public, private and hybrid clouds, is Citrix Cloud Platform leaning to deliver on critical production workloads on a large scale. As organizations, the size of their production Clouds, new versions of Citrix Cloud Platform call for a relentless pursuit of quality and reliability of Citrix to further increase. And with this release, the Citrix development team really the goods are delivered.
performed Much of the hard work on this release in important improvements that could be considered "behind the scenes", and not readily apparent on the surface. But there are some really interesting new features in this version. I'll be the first cover.
New support for 3D workloads
In conjunction with Citrix XenServer, Citrix Cloud Platform 4.5 can now full advantage of the graphics processing unit (GPU) hardware company. Now Offload of a general purpose CPU to a GPU to deliver graphics-intensive tasks much higher performance for professional designers with special graphics tools. It can dedicate a GPU to their needs with GPU pass-through. For power users and knowledge users, a physical GPU can not have the same intense demands as professional designers are shared among several users on vgpu. The ability to dedicate GPU hardware and together makes efficient use of the GPU investments. At the same time, companies can deliver the performance for workloads in support of large data processing, medical imaging, video and more necessary. Administrators assign the flexibility GPUs to guest VMs later in the use or by simply changing the service offering

While on the subject of the new elements in the calculation, for customers on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Citrix Cloud Platform 4.5 now supports a standard KVM implementation, for former QUEM adjustments removed volume snapshots.

- BareMetal for Advanced Networks. BareMetal implementations that run virtual machines without a host operating system, provide very high performance for performance-critical workloads. Previous versions of Citrix Cloud Platform supports BareMetal on basic network topologies. BareMetal on advanced networks adds support for advanced capabilities to traffic isolation, security, Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN) and virtual router for network services such as DHCP and DNS. For organizations that want to deliver a BareMetal services, advanced networking support is essential
- Linux Containers (LXC). For workloads that do not require full operating system virtualization, LXC offers high -Performance resource-saving alternative Compute option. LXC has a very heavy workload density per host with minimal overhead

Reliability and Resiliency
While Citrix Cloud Platform 4.5 has Citrix hard working, reliable and consistent performance over capabilities to ensure how to create, delete and VMs migrate. The ability of system failures gracefully recover and maintain service levels in spite of unforeseen problems, the management server or the database to influence have been enhanced. There are also improvements in areas such as logging, error messages and troubleshooting that make this version the support much easier. You will also notice that Citrix has designed the documentation with updated and improved content new.
Citrix Cloud Platform 4.5 to make operationally efficient to build Citrix to core labor for Virtual Router (VR) rolling upgrades in the initiated continued previous version. In version 4.5, it is much faster to configure VRs upgrades and reduce the time it takes the upgrade cycle to complete. Now VR commands are grouped and processed as a single batch. Each VR restart, if necessary, will once completed by the batch processing.

You can now easily upload Citrix Cloud Platform configuration data and information on CIS record and perform analysis on your environment. CIS provides insight into your cloud environment, configuration, resource counts, upgrade history, and more.
Dynamic support for new guest operating systems (OS)
Previously, as a new guest operating systems has been on supported available hypervisors, customers had to be waiting for an updated version of Citrix Cloud Platform released. Now, customers can request through the support to have added a new guest OS and Citrix can validate and certify the new guest operating system between releases.
New software and systems
Citrix continue to update support Update to 3, 5.1 to 2 update 5.5 to 1b for new virtualization platforms like Citrix XenServer 6.5, VMware vCenter (5.0 to Update) and KVM on RHEL 6.5. Support for Citrix NetScaler VPX, MPX and SDX 10.1e and 10.5 are also added.

There are quite a lot to explore in this new version. As Citrix Cloud Platform has become an important basis for high scale production clouds, we supply a version, the rock-solid and designed to support your growth. It's a new year, and we have only just begun.
