Andrew Bio:

I specialize in the delivery and optimization of desktop solutions and virtualization application. I work primarily with clients of the central government at the time to help define the company's Office strategies and provide remote work solutions. In addition to being a licensed professional engineer and IT Professional, I am a Microsoft MVP for Terminal Services and I'm a Citrix CCIA. In addition to being an independent consultant, I am an analyst for the practice of virtualization.

When did you decide to pursue a career in computer and what was your first role / project?

Before starting university. I am a working program a customized laboratory reporting application for a small local company. My first job was programming in appropriate courses. Among other things, I wrote a school Bomber game type being for a green-screen terminal. (It is possible that you can still access this Easter egg!)

If it did not exist, what other industry interests you and what work voulez- sue you?

Driving the garbage / trash van. The hours are your own and it is a skilled job for better wages.

What was your best subject in primary school, and why?

Computer Science. I thought that computer science was very cool.

What is your favorite Citrix technology and why?

WinFrame. First love never die.

what kind of music you like the most and who is your favorite musician?
If it has a guitar in it, I probably love. My favorite musician - today, it is especially Kyle Gass and Kenny Burrell

What technical events are you looking forward to attend this year
I am.? very impatient Synergy Barcelona and next E2E conference.

What is your favorite thing about living in the UK and would you miss if you left?
The cornucopia of weather and transit character building. taken appropriate new and current TV that makes sense.

Describe a significant breakthrough that you had while working with technology
I designed a solution travel to remote working in a secure network environment. - Which was pretty clean. That or get my kids to understand a ping test :. Both very useful

What face public (any field, past or present) that you admire and why
Vint Cerf - I arrived to meet him at a British Computer Society dinner and had a great conversation with him. It is very cool. Among other things, we discussed how if you have a job in IT, no matter what it is, you are a computer support technician to your mother and to cope with the complexity of creating a network interstellar. When I grow up I want to be Vint Cerf.

What motivates you to be part of the steering committee of the group of users in the UK Citrix?
at first it was because I was counting users Citrix UK can provide the best and most constructive feedback and collaboration, and when I think we do - everybody raises the bar. And who would not want to collaborate and share ideas with talented people like Jim Moyle and Neil Spellings?

Zombies - we will never be in danger of. two others.

What was the largest Citrix deployment you have architected / implemented, and what was the takeaway?
The implementation of a university, about 10,000 seats. Takeaways: (1) n never assume and (2) do not be afraid to stop and start again with something completely different

What is your all -. time favorite TV series (past or present)?
The IT Crowd is that I end up watching the most.

Describe a Geek Speak session you attended and why it was memorable.

A Synergy in Barcelona last year - because he was my first. I do not remember exactly what it was about, but I'm sure everyone has agreed that I was right
