Citrix CloudBridge announces support for Azure and Amazon Clouds -

As it continues being forever changed by the adoption of cloud services, the main adopters and suppliers must seek ways to expand their reach and embrace the opening flourish. Cloud services that require long-term contracts or the lack of interoperability miss the point of what has made cloud computing so attractive in the first place the whole.

is where Citrix comes CloudBridge. CloudBridge sits at the "back door" of the enterprise data center, and enables customers to tap into the excess capacity in the public cloud in an effective manner as safe as possible. Using CloudBridge, companies can move workloads seamlessly with low risk to the public cloud, while keeping sensitive data assets (including databases and corporate directories) securely on site. With Citrix CloudBridge, companies can increase their data centers with infinite capacity and elastic efficiency provided by cloud providers.

Today we are pleased to announce two new key partnerships that highlight the crucial importance of optimized secure access a world of many clouds

  • Citrix CloudBridge for Amazon Web services - Amazon Web services is the largest provider "mega-cloud", providing flexible infrastructure as a service (IaaS) services to users around the world. CloudBridge for Amazon, available in November, will allow companies to move production workloads to public clouds more easily. It also allows them to consume CloudBridge as Amazon service in a model based on usage, which is perfect for many short-term cloud projects. This approach also makes it easy for IT to provide security, high performance cloud capability to employees as a seamless extension of their existing IT services, including billing back expenses.
  • Citrix CloudBridge for Microsoft Azure - Platform as a Service (PaaS) is the next cloud segment expected exponential growth as developers and architects are beginning to supply their projects natively in the cloud. Gartner expects the PaaS market to grow from $ 3 billion in 2016. Microsoft Azure is positioned to take a significant share of this market with a scalable, developer-centric offering, which is soon expected to add features and IaaS. A technology preview for CloudBridge Azure will be available in December.

Citrix believes networking among the clouds to be a cornerstone capacity for cloud adoption and continue to expand its cloud portfolio of partners. Remember, most of the time, the trip can be as interesting as the destination!
